Terms of Service
Calori – app and website
Effective date: 24 September 2026 · Version 2.0 · Replaces the previous Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Lagom food Oy (trading as Calori, "we") when you use the Calori app, the calori.health website, or order meals from us. Please read them; by creating an account or placing an order you accept them. How we handle your personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Finnish law, in particular the Consumer Protection Act (38/1978).
1. Who we are
Lagom food Oy, Business ID 3165571-2, Nihtisillantie 3 B, 02630 Espoo, Finland.

Customer service is open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9–15, Wednesday and Sunday 14–20 (Helsinki time), and closed Friday and Saturday.
2. What Calori is
Calori is a meal service. You choose a weekly plan, we prepare the meals in our kitchen and deliver them to your address or to a pickup point. The Calori app additionally lets you set nutrition goals, receive a personalised meal plan, log what you eat, connect health data from your phone, and talk to Astre, our AI assistant. Some features are available only in the app, some only on the website, and availability varies by delivery area.
3. Your account
You need an account to order. You must be at least 18 years old to place orders and enter into a paid subscription; if you are 16 or 17 you may use the app's free features with your guardian's consent, and the app does not accept anyone under 16. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for everything done through your account. Give us accurate contact and delivery details and keep them up to date — we rely on them to deliver and to reach you.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account) or by emailing us. Deletion ends your subscription; deliveries you have already paid for are still delivered.
4. Ordering and the weekly cutoff
Calori works in weekly cycles starting on Monday. For each week you select meals, a delivery day and slot (or pickup point), or let the app plan the week for you.
Each week has an order cutoff, shown in the app and on the website (currently Wednesday at 15:00 Helsinki time for the week starting the following Monday). Until the cutoff you can freely change or remove meals, change the delivery address, or pause the week. At the cutoff your selection for that week becomes a binding order and is charged. After the cutoff the week is locked: we have started buying ingredients and planning production, so meals, delivery details and cancellations for that week can no longer be changed except where we agree otherwise or the law requires it.
A subscription renews week by week until you pause or cancel it. Weeks you have paused, or for which you have selected no meals, are not ordered or charged. One-off orders and gift-card orders are charged when you place them.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro including VAT at the time you order. Delivery fees, if any, are shown before you confirm. We may change prices and the menu at any time; a change applies from the next week that has not yet reached its cutoff, and never to a week already charged.
Payment is by card through our payment provider Stripe, or with Epassi employee-benefit balance where offered. By adding a card you authorise us to charge it for each week's order at the cutoff and for one-off purchases. Credits and discount codes are applied before the charge; the amount shown in the app as the estimated total is the amount charged.
If a charge fails, we will tell you and give you a short window to add or update a card or retry the payment. If the order still cannot be charged by the deadline shown, that week's order is cancelled and nothing is delivered. If two consecutive weeks end this way we pause your subscription so that you are not charged again until you resume it yourself.
Receipts and invoices are available in the app or by request. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate.
6. Pausing, cancelling and your right of withdrawal
You can pause your subscription for one or more weeks, or indefinitely, at any time in the app or on the website. A pause takes effect from the first week that has not yet reached its cutoff. You can end a pause at any time in the same way.
You can cancel your subscription at any time; cancelling stops all future weeks. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
Right of withdrawal. Under the Consumer Protection Act you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. This right does not apply to the meals themselves, because they are perishable foodstuffs that spoil quickly (Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 6, Section 16). This is why an order is final once its week has passed the cutoff. The right of withdrawal does apply to gift cards and other non-perishable items within 14 days of purchase, as long as they have not been redeemed.
7. Delivery and pickup
We deliver with our own logistics partner (currently Wolt Drive) to the address and slot you chose, or make your order available at the pickup point you chose. You will receive a notification, and where available a tracking link, when your delivery is on its way.
Please make sure someone can receive the delivery in person, or that the address, entry instructions and phone number you gave allow the courier to reach you. If a delivery cannot be completed because of an incorrect address, no answer at the door or no access to the building, we will try to contact you; if the meals cannot be delivered for reasons on your side, we may not be able to redeliver or refund, since the meals cannot be re-sold. If a delivery is late or fails for reasons on our side or our partner's, tell us and we will redeliver, credit or refund the affected meals.
Pickup orders should be collected within the pickup point's opening hours on the day shown. Uncollected orders are discarded at the end of the day and are not refunded.
8. Food, allergens and storage
Our meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles all common allergens. We list the ingredients and allergens of each meal in the app and on the website, and you can record allergies in your profile so that the app avoids those meals in your plan. We cannot guarantee that any meal is free from traces of an allergen, and the allergen information we provide is not a substitute for medical advice. If you have a severe allergy, please assess the risk yourself before ordering.
Meals must be kept refrigerated and eaten by the date printed on the label, and heated as instructed where heating is required. We are not responsible for meals that have been stored or handled incorrectly after delivery.
If a meal is missing, damaged or not what you ordered, tell us within 24 hours of delivery and we will credit or refund it.
9. Nutrition features and Astre
The app's nutrition targets, meal plans, insights and Astre's answers are general wellness information generated automatically from the details you provide. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and they are not designed for managing a medical condition, pregnancy, an eating disorder or a clinical diet. Consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, and follow their advice over anything the app suggests.
Astre is an AI assistant. It can be wrong. It only proposes actions (such as logging a meal or pausing a week) and asks you to confirm them; you are responsible for the actions you confirm. Do not rely on Astre for anything where an error could harm you.
Health data from Apple Health or Health Connect is used only with your explicit consent and as described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect it at any time.
10. Credits, discount codes, referrals and gift cards
Credits are a balance we add to your account (for example from a referral reward, a fixed-amount code or as goodwill). They are automatically used against your next charges, have no cash value and cannot be paid out or transferred. Credits may expire if your account is inactive for 12 months or when your account is deleted.
Discount codes apply from the next uncharged week, for the number of weeks and under the conditions stated with the code. Only one percentage discount can be active at a time. Codes cannot be combined with other percentage offers unless we say so, and we may withdraw a code that has been misused.
Referrals. You may share your personal referral code with friends. A referral counts when a new customer who has never placed a paid order with us uses your code and pays for their order; you cannot refer yourself, and we may cancel rewards from referrals that are fraudulent or made through mass or paid promotion.
Gift cards are valid until the expiry date shown on them, can be redeemed against Calori orders by anyone who holds the code, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Treat the code like cash: we cannot replace a code that has been lost or used by someone else.
11. Using the service fairly
You agree not to misuse the service: for example by creating multiple accounts to reuse introductory offers, abusing referral or discount codes, attempting to access other users' data, interfering with the app or website, or using them for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do so, and cancel orders made through misuse, after notifying you where reasonably possible.
The app, website, recipes, meal names, images, texts and software are ours or our licensors' and protected by intellectual property law. You may use them only for ordering and using the service personally.
If you give us feedback or ratings, we may use them to improve the service without owing you anything.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the app and website available, but they may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. Menus, delivery areas, delivery slots and features change over time, and we may add, change or remove features; we will tell you in advance about changes that materially affect an active subscription. If we permanently stop the service in your area, we will refund any weeks you have paid for but not received.
13. Our responsibility
We are responsible for delivering what you ordered, as ordered, in good condition, and for the service working as described. If we fail, your remedies are those under the Consumer Protection Act: correction, redelivery, price reduction, refund, and compensation for direct loss caused by our fault.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for losses caused by incorrect information you gave us, by incorrect storage or handling of meals after delivery, by your reliance on the nutrition features or Astre contrary to section 9, or by events beyond our reasonable control (such as strikes, extreme weather, or failures of our partners' networks). Nothing here limits our liability for death, personal injury or damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Finnish law.
14. Complaints and disputes
If something goes wrong, contact us first at info@calori.health — most problems are solved quickly. If we cannot agree, you may take the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta). You may also use the EU's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes that are not resolved otherwise are handled by the Helsinki District Court; as a consumer you may also bring a claim in the district court of your own home municipality in Finland.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We will publish the new version in the app and on the website and, for changes that are to your disadvantage and affect an active subscription, notify you at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not accept a change, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect. Continuing to order after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
